On August 1, 2026, we're making three changes to how LPWS full pistol builds are ordered: a new 12-month lead time, metal grip systems now standard on all Chiraq full builds, and a defined path for custom order changes. If you've been sitting on a build, the window to order under the current terms closes July 31.
Three changes land on August 1, 2026. They apply to full pistol builds — the guns we build start to finish. They do not touch our kits or our in-stock guns. Here's the short version before we break each one down.

Builds ordered on or before July 31, 2026 lock in under the current terms. Starting August 1, the new lead time and build standards apply to every full-build order.
Every LPWS full pistol build — every Chiraq, including Island full pistol builds — moves to a flat 12-month lead time starting August 1, 2026. This replaces the previous 4–8 month range.
We build each gun by hand to zero tolerance. Demand has outrun the old window, and a single honest lead time serves you better than an estimate we can't hold. Twelve months is the number we can stand behind.
Variant 7 is not affected — it already runs a 12-month lead time and continues as-is.
The Island Barrel Build Kit, the Complete Islandboy Build Kit, and all Quick Ship / Ready to Ship products keep their current timelines. This change is for full builds only.
Every Chiraq full build — including Island full pistol builds — now ships with a metal grip system as standard, in your choice of steel or aluminum.
This is an upgrade to what's included, at no change to the build price. You get a metal grip system on the gun as it leaves the shop.
Standalone metal grip add-ons are coming as separate products at a later date. We'll announce those when they're ready.
Want something outside our standard build menu — a specific Cerakote or PVD color, a bespoke finish, a special request? That now runs through one clear product: the Custom Specification Upgrade.
The upgrade carries a $999.99 base fee. That fee covers custom build planning, the administrative work of restructuring your order, and standard bespoke labor.

If your request needs billing beyond the base fee, you'll get a secondary invoice to approve before production begins. No surprises — you sign off on the full cost first.
