Every LPWS2011 platform — Island Boy, Chiraq, Savant, and Urban Warfare series — ships with the Atlas Optic Plate System. This modular interface delivers a zero-movement optic mount with compatibility across the widest range of industry footprints available. Use this guide to identify the correct Atlas plate for your optic before ordering.
The LPWS2011 Family
All four LPWS2011 series share an identical optic plate interface. Whether you're running an Island Boy for competition or an Urban Warfare build for carry, the Atlas system ensures your optic mounts with zero movement and no compromise on return-to-zero.
The Atlas Optic Plate System is a modular interface — the slide is machined with a standardized pocket, and the appropriate Atlas plate drops in to accept your chosen optic footprint. Changing optics means swapping a plate, not machining a new slide.
Full Optic Compatibility Table
Identify your optic footprint in the left column, confirm compatible optics in the center, then order the specified Atlas plate. If your optic appears in the center column, it is fully supported on all LPWS2011 platforms.

If your optic isn't listed above, reach out before ordering. We can confirm compatibility or advise on the closest available footprint. Never assume cross-compatibility between similar-looking footprints without verification — seating depth and screw hole position vary more than most builders expect.
Installation Best Practices
The Atlas Optic Plate System is engineered for precision fit. Follow these protocols to ensure a zero-movement mount and repeatable return-to-zero across round counts.
-
01
Torque SpecificationsFollow both the optic manufacturer's torque spec and the Atlas plate torque recommendation strictly. Overtorquing can distort the plate seating surface. Undertorquing introduces movement under recoil. If specs conflict, defer to the lower value and recheck after the first 100 rounds.
-
02
Thread LockerUse blue Vibratite or Loctite 242 unless otherwise specified. Do not use red (permanent) compound on optic screws — it will make future removal destructive. Apply a single small drop to the screw threads, not the seat, and allow full cure time before live fire.
-
03
Zero-Tolerance FittingEnsure the plate is fully seated and flush within the slide pocket before threading any mounting screws. A plate that is cocked or partially seated will feel tight but will shift under recoil, destroying zero. Inspect the seating gap from all four sides before final torque.
Never substitute a visually similar plate from a different manufacturer. Even fractional differences in screw hole position or seating depth can result in optic movement, zero shift, or slide damage under recoil. Use only the specified Atlas Optics Plate for your footprint.
Built for the 2011 Platform
The 2011 competition and carry market is packed with optic choices — but most production slides force you to pick one footprint at the time of purchase. The Atlas Optic Plate System was designed specifically to eliminate that constraint for LPWS2011 owners.
Unlike direct-milled cuts, the Atlas plate pocket is standardized across all LPWS2011 slide variants. That means an Island Boy built for USPSA with a Holosun 507COMP can be reconfigured for a Trijicon RMR carry setup without re-machining the slide. The plate does the work.
Every plate is machined to exacting tolerances and tested for zero-movement fit before shipping. The result is a modular optic system that performs identically to a direct-milled solution — with the added advantage of footprint flexibility throughout the life of the build.
Choosing the Right Optic for Your Build
The right optic for a 2011 build depends on intended use more than brand preference. Competition shooters running USPSA or PCC often prioritize large window optics like the Holosun 507COMP or Shield RMSx for faster target acquisition. Duty and carry configurations typically favor enclosed emitters — the Aimpoint ACRO and Holosun 509T both offer significant weather and debris resistance that open emitter designs cannot match.
For shooters new to 2011 optic setups, the RMR/SRO footprint remains the most versatile starting point. It supports the widest variety of optics at multiple price points — from the Trijicon RMR Type 2 to the Holosun 407C — without requiring a specialized plate or unusual mounting hardware. The Atlas RMR/SRO plate is our most-ordered SKU for a reason.
If you're running a Chiraq slide for competition, consider whether a large-window optic like the 507COMP or RMSx aligns with your division rules before selecting a plate. USPSA Open and Carry Optics divisions have different optic window size expectations — confirm before committing to a footprint.
