LPWS2011 Pistol Disassembly Guide

Government Model (Using a Paperclip)

1. Ensure Safety
   • Remove the magazine by pressing the magazine release button.
   • Rack the slide back to ensure the chamber is empty.
   • Engage the safety by flipping the thumb safety up.
2. Field Strip Preparation
   • Retract the slide slightly until the slide stop notch aligns with the slide stop.
   • Insert a paperclip into the disassembly hole on the guide rod to lock the recoil spring in place.
3. Remove Slide Stop
   • Push the slide stop pin from the right side of the frame while gently pulling it out from the left side.
   • Once removed, carefully release the slide forward off the frame.
4. Disassemble Slide Components
   • Remove the recoil spring assembly by pulling it out from the rear of the slide.
   • DO NOT REMOVE PAPERCLIP FROM GUIDE ROD ASSEMBLY UNTIL REASSEMBLING THE SLIDE, UNLESS YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE GUIDE ROD SPRING.
   • Take out the barrel by pushing it forward slightly, then lifting it out from the slide.

Commander Model (Not Using a Paperclip)

1. Ensure Safety
   • Remove the magazine by pressing the magazine release button.
   • Rack the slide back to ensure the chamber is empty.
   • Engage the safety by flipping the thumb safety up.
2. Field Strip Preparation
   • Retract the slide slightly until the slide stop notch aligns with the slide stop.
3. Remove Slide Stop
   • Push the slide stop pin from the right side of the frame while gently pulling it out from the left side.
   • Once removed, carefully release the slide forward off the frame.
4. Disassemble Slide Components
   • Depress the recoil spring plug located at the front of the slide.
   • Slowly release the recoil spring plug, ensuring the recoil spring does not fly out.
   • Remove the recoil spring and guide rod from the slide.
   • Take out the barrel by pushing it forward slightly, then lifting it out from the slide.

Reassembly Instructions

1. Reassemble Slide Components
   • Insert the barrel into the slide.
   • Reattach the recoil spring and guide rod.
2. Reattach Slide to Frame
   • Align the slide with the frame rails and gently slide it back onto the frame.
   • Insert the slide stop into the frame and through the barrel link, aligning it with the slide stop notch.
3. Final Steps
   • Disengage the safety.
   • Rack the slide several times to ensure proper alignment and function.
   • Reinsert the magazine.

Safety Check

• Perform a final function check to ensure the firearm operates correctly.
• Engage and disengage the safety, and ensure the trigger operates as expected without any issues.
