The LPWS Islandboy™ Complete Build Kit is the most comprehensive DS1911/2011 build kit offered by Legion Precision Weapon Systems — everything you need to build your Islandboy from the ground up. Engineered specifically for the 9mm platform, this kit eliminates the most time-consuming barriers of a custom DS1911 build with pre-fitted components, match-grade lockup, and significantly less shop time required.

 

The LPWS Advantage

Unlike standard kits, the LPWS Island Barrel ships with the hood length and bottom lugs already pre-fitted. This eliminates the need for expensive lug cutters and precision lathe work. The top of the barrel rib is factory-matched to the slide profile — no decking or heavy machining required. Every kit includes our comprehensive, downloadable Fitting Instructions walking you through slide-to-frame fitment and island integration.

 

🔧  FITTING REQUIREMENT — PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING

This kit requires slide-to-frame fitting. The customer is responsible for either:

•  Performing the slide-to-frame fitting themselves (gunsmithing experience required), OR

•  Sending the slide and frame to a qualified gunsmith for professional fitting prior to final assembly.

Legion Precision Weapon Systems is not responsible for improper fitment. Fitting is not included in the kit price.

 

Performance Porting Options (9mm Only)

  • Standard — Non-ported configuration for maximum reliability
  • Performance (+$65.00) — 3-Port configuration for flatter tracking
  • Extreme (+$100.00) — 6-Port configuration for ultimate recoil mitigation (spring tuning required; customer must tune firearm to their ammunition)

 

Trigger Shoe: The LPWS Kill Switch Trigger is included in black/flat. Please specify your preferred trigger shoe size in your order notes at checkout.

This kit is sold unfinished. The customer is required to have the firearm refinished after assembly.

Legion Precision Weapon Systems recommends Cerakote, DLC, or PVD coating applied by a qualified gunsmith or finishing professional. Finishing is NOT included in the kit price and is the sole responsibility of the customer.

 

Optics

The LPWS Chiraq Slide is cut for the Atlas optic plate system. The Atlas optic plate is NOT included with this kit. Compatible with RMR/SRO footprint optics via Atlas Plate System (sold separately).

FFL & Shipping Requirements

The LPWS 2011 Frame included in this kit must ship to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. It is the customer’s responsibility to know their local and state laws before purchasing.
