Every LPWS2011 is built from the same foundation: 416 stainless slide, 4140 chrome-moly frame, hand-fitted at zero tolerance in Seguin, Texas. The difference between models comes down to two decisions — which slide design fits the way you shoot, and which size fits how you carry and compete. This page breaks down both.
Three Designs. One Standard.
Every LPWS2011 slide is machined from 416 stainless billet. The design determines the aesthetic, grip character, and weight profile — not the quality.
Deep high-traction knurling across the front and rear of the slide, paired with a distinctive top window cut that reduces reciprocating mass and gives the platform an unmistakable identity. Built for the shooter who demands maximum grip on every rack, press check, and reload — and doesn’t mind letting the gun speak for itself.
Strategic lightening cuts paired with sharp, no-nonsense cocking serrations. The Urban Warfare profile is engineered around speed — reducing reciprocating mass for faster cycling while maintaining the grip purchase needed for reliable manipulation under stress. Purpose-built for duty use, competition, and the shooter who runs the gun hard.
Streamlined, precision-cut serrations front and rear with a top window cut for reduced reciprocating mass — the same standard as the Chiraq and Urban Warfare, delivered in a cleaner, lower-profile package. The Savant is for the shooter who wants everything the platform offers without the aggressive visual. Understated by design. Uncompromising in execution.
Three Sizes. Every Mission.
Size determines barrel velocity, optic window position, and how the gun rides in a holster. Every size is available across all three slide designs.
The original 2011 specification. Full-length slide and barrel deliver the longest dwell time for consistent cycling, the highest muzzle velocity in the lineup, and the most forward optic position for a wider field of view through your red dot. The natural choice for USPSA Open and Limited competitors, and the platform the Island Boy is built on.
Competition · Range · Open Division 3-Port StandardA purpose-built size that splits the difference between the full Government and the compact Commander. The 4.6" profile offers a shorter, faster-handling package with a marginal reduction in barrel velocity compared to the 5" — without the compromises of the Commander barrel length. Available across all four slide designs: Chiraq, Urban Warfare, Savant, and Island Boy.
Duty · Carry · Versatile Platform 3-Port StandardThe compact end of the LPWS lineup. The 4.25" Commander profile is the fastest from a holster, the easiest to conceal, and the most maneuverable in close quarters. Built for the duty carrier who needs a full-capability 2011 in a package that doesn’t fight the holster. Same 416 stainless slide, same 4140 frame, same hand-fit standard — shorter and quicker.

The Island Boy Platform
Every Island Boy runs the Chiraq slide. The island barrel is what makes it different from everything else in the lineup.
The Atlas Optic Plate is included in all LPWS builds. It is not included in the Island Boy Kit — source and install separately if building from the kit.

Three precisely machined barrel ports redirect propellant gas upward, countering muzzle rise at the moment of ignition. The result is measurably flatter tracking and faster follow-up shots without the aggressive gas bleed of the 6-port. The most versatile configuration in the lineup — it runs reliably across a wide range of loads and spring weights without tuning. The standard choice for most shooters.
Six ports bleed gas aggressively for maximum recoil mitigation. Built for competition shooters who are tuning a specific load and spring combination for peak performance. The 6-port will deliver the flattest possible shooting experience in the lineup — but it requires you to match your recoil spring weight and ammunition to the port configuration. Underpowered loads or an incompatible spring weight will cause cycling issues.

Common Questions
Both are aggressive, high-performance slide designs — and both share the same standard features: top window cut and porting included. The difference is character. The Chiraq leads with grip: deep knurling and a bold look that makes no apologies. The Urban Warfare leads with speed: strategic lightening ports and serrations cut for fast, sure manipulation under stress. They perform identically in practice — the choice comes down to how the gun needs to feel in your hands and what role it’s filling.
The 10mm platform is currently on hold. We may bring it back — when we do, it will be announced to the community first. Contact us at legionprecision@gmail.com if you want to be notified when 10mm availability returns.
The 4.6" is a new size engineered to bridge the gap between the 5" Government and the 4.25" Commander. It offers the shorter, faster-handling profile of a compact build with a minimal reduction in barrel velocity compared to the full-length. It will be available across Chiraq, Urban Warfare, Savant, and Island Boy. Email legionprecision@gmail.com to be notified when slots open.
Yes, without exception. Every LPWS2011 — regardless of slide design or size — is built on a 4140 chrome-moly frame and a 416 stainless steel slide, machined to zero tolerance and hand-fitted in Seguin, Texas. The 4.25" Commander ships to the same specification, the same fitting process, and the same lifetime transferable warranty as the 5" Government. Size changes the package — not the standard.
For Open and Limited divisions, the 5" Government is the standard choice — maximum barrel velocity, smoothest cycling, and the most consistent muzzle energy for making power factor. For Limited-10 or Carry Optics where holster speed matters more, the 4.25" Commander is a legitimate option. The 4.6" mid-length will be competitive in both roles when available. Not sure? Carl will talk through your division and load setup before you commit.
