2026 at Legion Precision: Hard Truths, Better Builds, and the Path Forward

At Legion Precision, we’ve never been much for “marketing fluff.” We’re a veteran-owned shop, and we’ve always believed that our work—the hand-blended crowns, the tight tolerances, and the flat-shooting performance—should do the talking for us.

As we look at the roadmap for 2026, we’re pushing further than ever before. We aren’t just selling pistols; we’re refining the relationship between the shooter and the tool. Here is exactly what we have planned for the year ahead.

1. The LPWS2011 Custom Specification Upgrade

For a long time, the Savant, Chiraq, Urban Warfare, and Island Boy have been our bread and butter—the pillars of the Legion lineup. But we know some of you want something that doesn’t just perform at a tier-one level but also looks the part of a one-of-one heirloom.

Starting this month, we’re officially launching our Custom Specification Upgrade. This is where you get to break away from the “standard” catalog. You’ll work with our smiths on bespoke finishes like rare PVD coatings and complex machining that goes beyond our production line. These are hand-blended, individually tuned, and built to be the crown jewel of your collection.

2. Real Talk on Lead Times

We’re going to be honest with you: precision takes time. We refuse to slap a gun together just to meet a shipping quota. For 2026, we’re being crystal clear about our tiers so you can plan your training accordingly:

  • Standard Builds (5 Months): Our standard Savant and Chiraq builds are sitting at a 5-month turnaround. This gives us the time needed for fitment and “Perfect Zero” testing.
  • The Island Boy (8 Months): Because of the complex timing and integration of the comp and barrel, these take a bit more “love” in the shop.
  • Full Custom Builds (12 Months): When you start modifying our standard specs with bespoke finishes or hardware, you’re looking at a year. It’s a wait, but it’s worth it.
  • Monthly Updates: We know that waiting for a build is an investment. That’s why we send out monthly status updates. Once a month, you’ll hear from us about exactly where your project is—from the CNC machine to the final test fire.

3. “In Stock” & Making the Investment Easier

The firearm industry is full of “vaporware,” and we hate it as much as you do. When you see something marked “In Stock” on our site, it means we have the frame, slide, and barrel blanks reserved specifically for your build. If you want a deeper look at how we handle our workflow, check out this breakdown of our inventory system.

We also know that a tier-one pistol is a serious financial commitment. To help, we’re offering Split-Pay on select products. You can secure your spot in the build queue with a 50% deposit.

4. The Island Boy Commander & the Savant Tax Sale

The Q1 catalog is dominated by two big moves:

  • The Island Boy 4.25″: We’ve finally brought that flat-shooting, integrated-comp performance to a Commander-length footprint. It’s the ultimate carry-friendly 2011. You can sign up for the “Go Live” email notification here: LPWS Island Boy Commander 4.25″.
  • Savant 5″ Q1 Tax Sale: We’ve set aside a limited batch of our 5″ Savants for a Q1 Tax Sale. These are the “fast track” builds with a significantly shorter 90–120 day lead time. Grab one while they’re still on the board: Savant 5″ Tax Sale Placeholder.

5. Modernizing Your Gear: March 2026 Services

By the end of March, we are opening our machine shop to your existing pistols. Whether it’s polymer-framed or a classic 1911/2011, we’re bringing the Legion touch to your daily driver.

  • Perfect Zero Slide Machining & Porting: We’ve designed exclusive machining services specifically for the Atlas 1911 DS Build Kits from Perfect Zero. We’ll be offering high-end slide machining and barrel porting to help you finish those kits at a master level. Read more about that service here.
  • Optic Cuts & Porting: We’re targeting a 7–10 day turnaround on optic cuts. This price includes a single-color Cerakote finish so your slide comes back protected and ready to run. If you’re ready to send yours in, follow our Step-by-Step Shipping Guide.
  • PVD Upgrades: If you want our premium PVD finish, we can do that too, but please note it carries an extra charge and will add some time to the 7–10 day window.
  • Trigger Upgrades: Our shop will also provide professional trigger upgrades to give your polymer frame the crisp, predictable break it deserves.

The Bottom Line

At the end of the day, we answer to the people who carry our weapons in the field. 2026 is about transparency, better customization, and the relentless pursuit of the “Perfect Zero.”

Thanks for being part of the Legion. We’ll see you at the range.
