We've handled the hardest parts so you can focus on the build, not the tooling.
The LPWS Islandboy™ Complete Build Kit is the most comprehensive DS1911/2011 build kit we offer. Built around a 9mm, 5-inch Government profile, this kit eliminates the most difficult and expensive steps of a custom island barrel build by delivering pre-fitted, precision-matched components straight to your workbench.
Island barrel builds are notorious for their complexity. The hood fit, bottom lug cutting, and rib matching require specialized tooling and hours of gunsmithing time — costs that can easily run $400–$800 in labor before you've even sourced parts. With the Islandboy™ Complete Build Kit, that work is already done.
Every kit ships with a pre-fitted LPWS Island Barrel — hood fitted, bottom lugs cut, island rib factory-matched to the LPWS Chiraq Slide. No decking required. Downloadable fitting instructions are included to guide you through the remaining slide-to-frame fit.
All 20 components are grouped below by source. Every non-LPWS component is EGW — except the grip and trigger guard screws, which are Atlas hardware.

Grip panels and trigger group are not included in the base kit — available separately as LPWS add-ons. Surface finishing (Cerakote, DLC, PVD) is also the customer's responsibility after build completion.

⚑ Tuning required for your ammunition
Slide-to-frame fitting is required and is the customer's responsibility. This can be completed by the builder (gunsmithing experience required) or sent to a qualified gunsmith along with the slide and frame. Downloadable fitting instructions are included. The kit ships unfinished. After your build is complete and function-tested, send it to a professional finishing shop for Cerakote, DLC, or PVD. LPWS will provide a list of vetted finishing shops before the first kits ship.
The LPWS Chiraq Slide is cut for the Atlas optic plate system, compatible with RMR/SRO footprint. The Atlas plate is sold separately — visit our optic cut product page for the correct plate.
The included LPWS Kill Switch Trigger (black/flat) requires your shoe size for proper fitment. Add your shoe size in the order notes at checkout. Visit the Kill Switch F-Series product page for reference.

Having a gunsmith source and fit an island barrel alone typically runs $400–$800 in labor before parts. The Islandboy™ Complete Build Kit pre-fits the hardest work and delivers all 20 components in one order.
The kit includes a serialized 2011 frame, legally classified as a firearm under federal law. It must ship to a licensed FFL dealer near you — they'll run the NICS check and complete the transfer. Budget $25–$50 for the FFL transfer fee.
Lead time is 60 days from order date to ship. Components are fitted and inspected before they leave the shop. We do not rush this process.
